Kongo Coffee work with farmers in the Simbu province to produce high quality Premium Smallholder Coffee (PSC) grade coffee. Simbu is located in the Central Highlands of Papua New Guinea and is the country’s third largest coffee growing province. The Elimbari A grade is the first and most reputable smallholder specialty coffee to be produced in PNG. It is the best in its class and consistently prepared to the highest standards.
Kongo Coffee has access to most of the Simbu region’s annual production, totalling approx. 120,000 bags. They own and operate one of the largest coffee mills in PNG. Kongo Coffee began exporting coffee in 1999 and has been involved in the industry for twenty years. Their average annual export volume is 4.5 million tonnes.
Based in Kundiawa, the capital the Simbu province, Kongo Coffee has a team of experienced local coffee experts who live and work in the community. They work closely with farmers and their families to imporve the overall qualify of life for the local people.
